I have directory structure (35 Gig's worth of files and folders) including a sub directories worth on NAS, i to text file on desktop..

I have pointed directly over NAS share ad with current directory shown from Terminal and typed:
Code:
ls -RF > ~/Desktop/File.txt

The file was created but not succesfully,,, as it froze half way through although NAS was still churning along.

Checking on the file in Quicklook as its created after 10 or so minutes text file is clearly not updating and modified date is not current either.

Canceling this and Force quitting disconnection I dragged 35Gg over to Mac, and redid the file in like 2 seconds

Anyone know why this problem happened...? Its only a text output so its should be fairly quick anyway.

The text file i got was only 2.9MB (complete) so pretty small.
