Today, I went down to my local library and connected to their wifi for internet access.

When I went into terminal mode, I noticed my command line prompt changed to this unfamiliar;cbbs-yanfenz-lt. When I disconnected from the library's wifi, it changed back to my computer name. I've never seen the command prompt change, except when I telnet or SSH to another system, nor make a wifi connection.

Any thoughts?

The cbbs-yanfenz-lt is the name the local network gave your computer. I think it has to do with NETBIOS. It happens at my Uni all the time.
