Oh my.. I do not want to believe that.

*tear*

Yeah, it came as a big shock to me, too. I really love the first two and had high hopes for this one... The second is such a cinematic masterpiece though, it'd be so hard to top it.

It wasn't that great, I just saw it tonight. The guy who plays john (can't remember his name) sounds like he is still in the batman character (weird creepy voice). The film overall was overly action packed, and the stupid dialog references to the old terminators didn't fit the dialog at all.

The movie really did nothing for me. I give the move a 3.5 out of 5.

I just watched this. I think I'm a little dizzy. My eyes kept rolling whenever pretty much whenever there was any spoken dialogue.

So it is the action movie equivalent of a porn flick?

where the action is tied together and interrupted by periods of poorly written and acted speaking lines.

Rotten Tomatoes also liked Cloverfield

Rotten Tomatoes doesn't really like anything, it's an aggregate of opinions from outside sources, like Metacritic. And their biggest faux pas was the rating for A History of Violence :p

I was very excited for T:S, until RT released some clips. Each clip was like an exercise in being tortured by a cliche.

Rotten Tomatoes also liked Cloverfield a lot - which was without doubt the worst film I have EVER seen - including school skids media studies projects. I dont take ANY notice of RT since then.

then I would not take any notice from any critic at all then since that means most critics liked Cloverfield.

RT just tells you the % of critics that liked or hated the movie nothing more. That is the reason why I use it is because it is not one critic but lot of critics to give a much more even sampling of people's opinion of the movie.

Why do you say that? I love the Sarah Conner Chronicles.

afaik it got canned by Fox Network suits. And I too liked the Chronicles and thought that with the release of the movie FOX would've given the TV show another season or two.

I enjoyed the show as well. Like Joepunk said I heard for a while that it was going to be cancelled and a move to Friday night is usually a precursor to that. The season finally definitely left me with the feeling that it was the last episode of the series. I'm not sure how they could continue it with that ending.

I didn't expect it to be as good as 1 or 2, but I'm glad it's better than 3. How was Christian Bale in it? (and was his American accent up to scratch...?)
