I saw some charts that indicated Monoprice cables charge at the same rate as Apple, as long as they weren't like 10 ft, which is reasonable.

Purchased a 3ft MFi certified cable, plugged it into a 12 watt Apple iPad charger. 120 minutes later and my 6 Plus is at 66 percent - it should be done (or almost done), according to my experience and all info I've found online.

Apparently Monoprice revised their cables recently to be more durable. Has charging taken that much of a hit? This doesn't seen like MFI quality!

Maybe you got a defective cable. Test out another cable, if the same thing is happening, using the same wall plug, you have a bad wall plug then. If the cable charges your device at a reasonable rate the mono cable is defective.
