Terrible audio quality in iMessage

hey guys,

actually I can't understand at all why the audio messages in iMessages have such a bad quality!?
Compare it to WhatsApp! They are great, understandable and offer great quality.

For what reason did apple build such a feature with such a quality?
Size? Doesn't matter as messages Will be deleted after two minutes.
