I'm working remotely and the dev team gave me an AdHoc link for the beta instead of a TestFlight invitation. They asked for my UDID so they could send me the AdHoc link. They said they use AdHoc for their internal devs which temporarily includes myself.

#1. Shouldn't I just get a TestFlight invite regardless if I'm internal? How do internal devs usually receive betas? Is TestFlight only meant for public beta testers?

#2. I had to delete the original app first in order for the adhoc beta version to download onto my home screen. When I had the original on my home screen the beta would never successfully install from the adhoc link. Shouldn't beta testers have 2 copies? Original and beta? This is a no brainer I think. It seems weird that they are ok with me only having the beta version on my device especially since I'm one of their devs. Even public beta testers have 2 version right?

Why would they send me an Adhoc link when it requires my UDID? With TestFlight you just send out an invitation.

Also what about the issue of having two versions on your home screen? AdHoc / TestFlight is irrelevant right? That simply depends on what app name / identifier the app has right?
