I keep auto brightness on all the time and it's usually at about 15-20% out of 100%. I noticed every time I check the level it never changes and even in dark situations without light it seems extra bright. I feel like mine may not be working properly. How can I test this the right way to find out?

This is the only potential problem I seem to may have with this phone as everything else seems normal with it.

the sensor got updated cause my brightness is always very dim in any type of light..mind you this prolly saves battery life so i really dont care i can always see the screen so it doesnt bother me much but i do notice a brightness difference from my 4s to 5

I just tested it by putting it under a bright lamp and it actually did move so I guess it works but it does seem to be extra bright even in dark lighting while low on the auto-brightness scale.
