It does I tested it out. It works on automotive fuses; some of them, you cannot see the fuse element.

Is there a way to make it work on modern automotive fuses like in the picture? I haven’t seen those old school glass tube style in ages.

Grasp one tab of the fuse and tap a touchscreen target with the other tab.

I've never seen a automotive fuse that you can't tell by looking at it whether it's blown or not.

It depends on the brand. Buss Type fuses have glass tubes, others have porcelain tubes. I suspect this test might work with a diode
