Okie doke, I know that this may not be the best place for this thread. I know there's no (highly) published way to use the iPhone's location data when it's tethered to the MBA for something like a GPS program, so I figured it'd probably fall under some form of a hack if it was possible. I don't even know if it's something I'd use, but I'd like to know if it's possible just for the hell of it.

I was just wanting to toss the idea out there and see if anyone had any clue if it's possible or what it'd take to make it possible, especially based off of this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1118413/

Thanks for any ideas!

yes, the location data is available from the iphone when connected using either USB or wifi tethering.

it's not available over bluetooth tethering due to bluetooth's extremely limited bandwidth.

Is there a way to use it with some sort of GPS app or Google Maps on the MBA?
