So I've been looking all night for a way to use my AT&T unlimited data plan and tether that sucker to my iPad. For every solution I found there would have to be some sort of a Jailbreak and I did not want to go that route.

So I came across this site tether.com they were the creators of iTether before the App Store booted them. I must have not read the fine print or was just in too much of a rush to get an answer, but I installed the software paid the $15 and got started not knowing that this solution does not support the iPad. Initially I ran this on my iMac and could not get it to work. I switched it over to my MacBook Pro and it worked right off the bat the first time.

Either way, it's still a decent product. if you need some type of tethering to a laptop and the speed is not that bad either. I mean it's slow, but very bearable for light surfing.

Here's my speedtest:

I couldn't get my torrent client to work though. I just wanted to stick it to AT&T for giving me a limited-unlimited plan. Fortunately, Pandora Radio was able to help me exact my revenge. :D
