Hi all I have a iPhone 3G and would like to jailbreak it for tethering my Macbook pro.

I have googled it a bit and discovered some interesting programs.
iPhoneModem
iPhoneModem zsrelay
QuickPwn

I would like to know that I am doing this correctly:

use QuickPwn basic option and jailbreak the iphone 3G
install "iPhoneModem" in my macbook pro
install "iPhoneModem zsrelay" in my iPhone 3G

I also have some questions:
how to install iPhoneModem zsrelay in my iPhone 3G?
if 2.2 is out, how to update to 2.2?

if 2.2 is out, how to update to 2.2?

The most probable approach is to use the PwnageTool again when 2.2 comes out by creating a Custom Firmware and restoring with that in iTunes. However, we will know about this when the time comes for 2.2 to be released and the Devs get their filthy hands on it.

Most of the instructions are on their website.. But using Cydia (Which you will get once jailbroken), you can download it and it installs to your iPhone.

Most questions can be answered by a quick search on the forums or carry on googling it. :)
