Trying to decide if I should bring my charger with my iPhone 6s Plus while tethering to my iPad Air 2 in a car. How long does the iPhone 6s Plus battery life normally last tethering ?

P.S. don't worry I am not the one driving.

There are way to many variables to answer that question. Is there no room for the charger and cord? Even if the phone battery might last, why risk having no battery in an emergency?

Not sure about a 6s but my old 5s used to last around 3 hours with a laptop connected to its personal hotspot if the battery was full

Mine would last at least 5.

But how long it lasts depends on a few things. Mainly your signal strength. If your connection to the cell tower is weak, it'll drain faster than if it's strong.

You can expect several hours from your battery, but still keep it charging when you can.

Agree.. this was at work I used to tether where it only had 2 dots of signal strength. I guess it might have lasted 4 or 5 hours at home with a strong signal but I use my cable broadband at home
