Hi there,
In 2020 is there any real benefits to using a dedicated mobile hotspot device versus tethering an iPhone (T Mobile in this case)? A quick search shows the biggest drawback to tethering is battery drain, but I would be connecting via USB C directly to the MacBook so that's not an issue. Also, I am grandfathered into an unlimited data plan and haven't ever noticed any throttling so there is no extra cost affiliated with tethering for me. Still, I'd like the best connection to a cellular network I can get unless the difference is negligable.
Thanks for any insight you may have!
