Tethering issue after 4.0.1 jailbreak?

Tethering was working for me on Orange (in Europe) 3.1.3 jailbroken but now with 4.0.1 jailbreakme it doesn't. I can enable it but nothing happens, no blue tethering bar on top.

unfortunately I did not test if it worked on original 4.0.1 before I jailbroke.
Anyone can confirm if this is a JB or os4 issue?

Did you restore from a backup and is your tethering official through the carrier or through a hack?

Personally I need a hack to enable tethering and if I restore my backup, I can access the tethering page but without the Commcenter patch, the tethering won't actually work.

I restored as new and jailbroke. Tethering officially supported by carrier.

Hmm, a day later and it's working now... weird.
