Tethering problems on 4S?

Wireless tethering only seems to work about 10% of the time. The other times, it doesn't show up on my computer's list of networks, or I get "connection timeout"s. Anyone else have this issue?

I seem to have to leave the wirless hotspot screen up on my IP4S in order for my laptop to see the network, at least it seems to be what does it.:confused:
