Tethering to TouchPad (Prior to 4.3.3+)

Has anyone been able to tether to a HP TouchPad using one of the tethering offerings (MyWi, PDAnet, TetherMe) with anything prior to 4.3.3? I'm currently on 4.2.1 and have tried all the programs listed with no success.
