Tethering Without A Profile?

Did a search and could not find anything. Is tethering enabled/an option recently that I am unaware of?

I have the menu for Internet Tethering and can turn it on/off (works just fine). However, I do not have the BenM profile installed. I actually went to install it to make sure, and it installed and was available under profiles. I then removed it and restarted my phone just to clear things up.

Internet Tethering is still there. Is this some weird fluke or am I missing something?
