I changed the icons on my desktop, but the text underneath is not directly underneath it. there is quite a bit of distance between the text and icon. I posted a pic so you will understand what Im talking about. This is on my macbook pro. On my iMac at home, Im not having this issue.

Could you possibly zip up the icon files you changed to and post them? I'm thinking there might just be additional 'white space' in the file than is needed and would like to confirm.

Sounds possible that your process somehow added a second (blank) line to the file label.

Do you have other icons on your desktop, and are they affected the same?

If you select one of those icons, then press enter, the name should highlight.
Don't do anything else, except start typing to enter the name to exactly the same name - HD or SSD, then press Return.
After trying that, is there any change to the position of the label?
