iOS text area not responding to touch events

i tried to my hands on the textarea but its not responding the same way as on safari ...

i want when the textarea is loaded the keyboard should automatically come up like it should be the first responder ...

to do that i am trying to program the touch events but the textarea is not responding on the touch events .any suggestion ... ??

this has nothing to do with touch events. and you can't program events cuz they well... events. just use becomeFirstResponder somewhere in your viewDidLoad or something.
