So apparently Android phones can keep count of how many texts are exchanged between contacts. Why the heck can't an iPhone do this?!

Android has always been more featured while iPhone has always been simpler feature wise - to refine the options it does have - which makes it more popular.

iPhone could easily show stats like that if it wanted to. Most people don't care about it and it adds complexity and clutters up a UI - the reason why I assume it isn't an option on an iPhone.
