Text Edit in Lion

What happened to the ' Save As ' option? How can I get it back, it's a pain not being able to do this.

That was one of the great ideas coming out of cupertino, no more save as in Lion Apps.

Try using TextWrangler, if memory serves me, it has save as. Its an extremely popular text editor and its free

yes, there is another thread on this which basically talks about porting your SL text edit app across to your Lion machine - or some such thing.

the simplest remedy to your complaint involves an additional step or 2, but you'll get used to it.

instead of 'file/save as' you go 'file/duplicate' and rename the copy.
