Text Editor that syncs with Notational Velocity but preserves B/I/U?

I use Notational Velocity constantly on my iMac/MBP, and right now I have it syncing with simplenote. What I don't like is that when I open the text in the simplenote apps on iPhone and iPad, I lose the bolds and italics that I used in Notational Velocity.

Is there a great app out there that will allow me to sync with notational velocity while preserving the formatting?
