I've recently bought an iPod touch and I was curious as to whether there was a way to forward texts from my main cell phone (a droid, on Verizon) to my touch via wifi/an app/some magic/etc. I've looked into Google Voice but I can't figure it out. If there is a way, let me know! Thanks!

(As in, the text would be received by my touch automatically, and I could type a reply on my touch and send it back to the sender's phone, who - let's say someone who didn't have iOS5. (In the case of iOS5, I would just use iMessage.))

Are you using Google voice? That is the only way I can see it work. I have a 4S and use Google Voice for work and other things I dont want calls to my main cell number. In the Apple app for Google Voice it only allows the GV texts to be forwarded into iMessage if its a phone. I noticed my iPad and iTouch won't allow it.
