Text & mail alerts in status bar...

I hope i dont sound stupid but i havent got the sms & mail alerts in the status bar. Im pretty sure in the 3GS they were automatic.

Is it possible to enable them somehow?

Maybe you're confusing the iPhone with android based phones who's notification is in the status bar.

the status bar notifications are one of two things i miss about jailbreaking since i got my iPhone4! (the other being lockinfo...)

same here haha, I looked at the status bar on the iphone4 and i forget its not jb'd
