I mentioned this in another thread but didn't really get an answer or opinion.

I jb'd my i4 on Sunday with no issues. Except when I send a text, my text bubble looks faded out. See Pic....Any suggestions?

Have you installed Winterboard?

I don't think theres been any reports of this but I had a real odd issue with WB. The text under my folders were grayed out. And I never even opened WB.

It does weird things so if you have WB installed, try removing it and see if it fixes the problem.

if you go into winterboard and turn off summerboard mode, it'll bring the app names back to normal.

that may work with op too if he installed winterboard.

I turned off Summboard (what is this btw?) and resprung and sent a txt. Same thing.

If this is the only downside to JB'ing for me, that's fine. But I'd like to be able to fix it.

Someone had posted that they uninstalled the package that enabled MMS and FaceTime after the JB and that fixed it. But I'd rather have faded text bubbles than no MMS or FT.

Any more suggestions?

I am having the same issue with faded bubbles but only the green one. Haven't found a fix yet but I'll report back if I do.

It should still work man. It was me that uninstalled that repo and my MMS and FaceTime still worked (You just have to goto changes in Cydia and make sure it updated) Saurik already fixed this issue with an update in Cydia.

But try removing the repo then REBOOT not respring!! And if they still don't work go into your settings and make sure MMS and Facetime are turned on.

What's the name of the repo?

What's the name of the repo?

Well this is the repo (http://iphonedelivery.advinux.fr/cydia) that was posted here on mac rumors claiming to fix the MMS and FaceTime issue. Well it did fix it but it seems after I installed it I had the same prob with the bubbles and text going down to about 50% opacity.

So what I did was just go into Cydia and removed the repo and rebooted my device. FaceTime and MMS were still there on reboot and my text bubbles were not dim anymore.

But in Cydia you should have already downloaded the update which was pretty much mandatory which fixes the Facetime and MMS issue, therefore you don't realy need that repo that I posted above anymore.

Unistalled and rebooted...same faded boxes. And sometimes I get the little red x's by the texts before they send which I saw posted on another thread. What causes that? Is it a leftover feature from bitesms?

I did that and now the text message is fixed but now I have another problem. MMS is still there but facetime is gone. I thought maybe it had turned off I checked setting and it's on. I rebooted, respring and even tried reinstalling the repo to no avail. Any help from anyone? I really don't wanna restore. Also is there any advantage of keeping firmware 4.0 as to upgrade to 4.0.1?

Try looking in the WB themes menu for white icon labels. I had the grey app names problem & clicked that. They went back to white. Perhaps that will work for the messages.

You could try removing bite sms as well, now that I think of it I had it on mine too.

I'm having the same issue, but it only started happening a few days ago. Happens in BiteSMS and the Apple text app. Also, for a while, BiteSMS was showing "!!!" instead of the normal "Send" button, and it wouldn't let me press it to send any messages. I had to go back to using the Apple app for a few days. Then all of a sudden BiteSMS went back to having the send button. But all the green bubbles are still faded. Weird...

Had the same problem.

Go into settings>messages and mess with the options there.

You'll notice you have a few more options than usual. I don't remember what I installed but this is the 100% fix. Just tinker with the settings in messages and you'll get them back to normal.

has the problem been fixed?

has this kind of problem happened to anyone here? notice at the end of the bubble, there's no pointy anymore as if they're cut off.

played around with settings, nothing. don't ever remember this happening. and uninstalling shows the same thing in the regular iphone messages app.

I had the same problem after I installed ultrasn0w, but the problem went away after i uninstalled it.

hmmm. I don't have ultrasnow installed. My phone is locked to ATT.

Here's a list of JB apps installed.

AndroidLock XT
Classica 3 theme
Color Signal and Wifi bars
five Icon Dock
LockInfo
Lockscreen clock Hide
Lockscreen Dim Delay
Notifier
Remove Background
WeatherIcon

All these apps installed before I got bitesms, so it can't be one of those. any ideas?

werid thing is after I uninstalled bitesms, the same thing is in the default messages app. what could be causing this?
