Text Message forwarding issue

I am trying to set up Text Message forwarding to my new Air and iMac. I see both devices but when I select allow it says to enter code shown on my Mac/iPad well theres no code that pops up on those devices? What could be the issue here does it work for anybody else?

I am signed into the same iCloud on all devices

I had a similar issue, and had my macbook display twice under the text message forwarding section. I ended up resetting my AppleID password, which kicked all devices off. Having to re-authenticate all of them, and my apps/games is a pain, but after all that, everything worked.

My iPad gave me additional trouble, but after I selected my telephone number within the iMessage 'addresses' section, it immediately popped up with the text message code I needed to enter.
