text message notification not working

I am receiving text messages, but many of them i have found are not accompanied by an incoming message tone. iPhoneforums has a similar thread too...anyone here with any solution?

I had the same problem with the GM version. When I restored my phone on iOS 6 official release day that seemed to clear up the issue.

I've had this issue. Restarting the phone fixed it for me. I hear there is a Siri bug that is turning off notification sounds or lowering the volume of them.
