If your AT&T call *3282#. It'll send you a free text with your usage amounts.

Is there a quick way to check text count?

Like how much have you texted, or how much letters have you typed?

Like the character amount on each message you send? Or the total amount of messages sent and receive?


If it is character amount you can turn on an option located in Settings -> Messages -> Character Count

If it is messages sent and received you have to bug your carrier about this info as the iPhone doesn't keep track.

*Edit* as said above *3282# works for AT&T but not all carriers.

another way to know the total txt received/sent: you can download the AT&T mywireless app (free on iTunes store) to check the number of txt you have made up to that day and the data and minutes consumption up to date too...
