Text messages coming in slowly after jailbreak

Have a 3GS w/ 3.1.3.. everything worked fine after the JB but today, I am getting texts in bunches, when people say they responded up to an hour earlier.

Any idea why this is happening all of a sudden?

Its not the JB iphone. Has to do with AT&T.
Give them a call to find out if theres a problem in your area or if they can resolve it on their end.

So the jailbreak, or any installed things since the jailbreak, should have no effect on the issues I'm experiencing?

Now I can't even connect to the internet, or make a phone call, even though its showing I have full bars, etc.

Nope, it shouldnt.
Many many people have JB iphones for years and get their texts fine.
Did your iphone work fine after JB and now started acting funny like that?
What did you last installed that might have caused these issues?
