Text messages fail to send

iPhone 3GS iOS 4.0

Occaisionally I will go to reply to a text message or send a new one and the progress bar gets to just before the end and then hangs. Will then get a notice saying the message failed. If I try to re-send the message it will just do the same thing. Only way to cure this problem is to power cycle the phone.

Anyone know if this is a common bug or there is a cure? Could just be my phone I guess but I'm hoping not.

Mine hangs toward the end of a message sometimes but it always sends after a few seconds... how is your reception where you are?

You can always try to restore the phone.
