Text messages from Android device to wife’s iPhone 11 are coming through garbled. Some sentences are simply different.

First pic (green) is a screen message that was sent on an Android device. Second pic is the text that her iPhone actually received. Wife thought her bro was texting someone else until he sent the screen grab of what he sent. I can understand Unicode mistranslations, but complete sentences? Any explanations?
