Since I got the iPhone 7 Plus, I've been having issues with text messages. iMessage work just fine but for people without iPhones I get the not delivered error.

I restart the phone and it works but then starts happening again.

Help?

Phone calls work just fine. Data works just fine, it's just the messages.
And they are sending as texts not iMessages correct?

I'd try turning off wifi and data and seeing if they send. If they do it's likely an iMessage issue. If they still don't send I think it's a carrier issue.

In this case is for non iMessage recipients. All my iMessages are going through fine.

I understand that, but sometimes the messages app has the issue that it tries to send iMessages to non iMessage recipients and then they fail.
Instead of turning off wifi and data, If you go into settings and turn off iMessage completely then try to send those people messages, that will help you narrow down where the problem is coming from. If it still doesn't work then you know it's not an iMessage issue.

Ah, I see now. Just tried that and still didn't work. :(

That's good, sometimes iMessage issues are the hardest to solve.

Simple solution. Have you tried a hard restart rather than a regular power off power on?

Another thing I would try after that is taking out the sim, giving it a few minutes, then put it back in. This can kind of kickstart the connection to your carrier.

I did a hard restart. It worked for a while then stopped.

I just did a reset of network settings and it's working. I'll see if it stays that way.

I am having this problem with iOS 10 too. I have AT&T.

Try going into settings, cellular, cellular data options and select data only under "enable LTE".

I am able to send & receive texts no problem when I'm at home, but must be something with AT&T towers where I work because it's only a problem at work!
