Text Messages Not Received

MY girlfriend has a Galaxy S5 and I have an iPhone 5S. Lately she has not received some of my text messages and vice versa. This has been happening for a couple months but this weekend it has become more common than not.

Is this a phone issue, a carrier issue or something else? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

I believe so. All of the Googling I've done seems to only relate to folks switching from Apple to Android which I have not done or the opposite. So I have been unable to find any articles related to my specific situation.

Oh yeah.
It's a bug that doesn't unlink your number from apples iMessage system.
