Text Messages Not staying on the phone.

Ok, so here is my text message problem . I can recieve , send , reply all that jazz. But there is no LOG of it ..

Its like the texts never existed , they do not store in "ichat form" they just dissapear ....

Also if I dont read a text when it pops up on the main screen , it is lost for all eternity ..

Ive already restored settings , reinstalled etc etc ...

help!?
