Is there any application for the mac that lets me send and receive text messages from mobile devices? I know skype does outgoing only but i need it to receive text messages too. Any one know? That is free?

I thought yahoo did that but nope. I think thats just for windows :(

Thanks man. I would not have figured that out because I was looking for text messages in contacts menu. Guess not. Thanks though.

Edit: Did not work. :(
There is no menu called "New chat with person"...there's only "new chat"

EDIT2: Nvm it worked lol

IF you have your friends cell phones loaded into Address Book, you can actually 'right click' on your iChat friend's name and click 'Send SMS' I find this to be quite useful during boring lectures.

You can also go to file, Send SMS..., then enter the cell phone number. Also works great. I do this also sometimes during lectures, even if someone sends a sms to my cell first.

Does anyone know of a good SMS interceptor which would get the SMS to go to my macbook instead of my cell, or grab the SMS from my cell phone after it went to it?

The address book feature has been taken out as of 10.5
