Text no longer chime after syncing AW3 cellular

Is this normal? I no longer here my text messages going off from my phone or my air pods. All I hear is the very faint chime from the watch.

If the phone is closed along with the AirPods, the watch will get the notifications (thus the chime). If the phone is active etc,. it will get the notification first.

I was using the phone and got no chime. And also my air pods were being used and nothing. Just the AW made and sound.

Very strange. I don't have an answer for you. Hopefully, someone else will.
