I am trying to send a picture via text from my phone (lg shine) to an iphone but its not working... Anyone know how I can text pics to iphone?

Check with your carrier to make sure you have MMS on your own phone.
Next, understand that sending a pic to someone's iPhone means they have to enter an external website to view said picture. The iPhone cannot send or receive (in theory) MMS.

the photo is on my phone and I cant e-mail from my phone.

By not working I mean I send pic to iphone my phone says "pic sent" but not pic shows up on the iphone.

i guess i could send a descriptive text of what the pic looks like:rolleyes:

this should be simple. Im shocked an iphone cant recieve a picture via text. Seems crazy to me.

I'm shocked the iPhone has been out for well over a year and people are still posting about this.
LOL True.

OP: If the pic is not showing up on the iPhone it is because the iPhone cannot receive pics via MMS. As I stated before, if you send a pic to the iPhone via MMS the iPhone owner receives a text whereby they're required to go to an external website, type in some craptastic login ID and password, see a picture that is so compressed and ****** that it is virtually pointless to even see, and then log out. Quite frankly, if you really need someone to see that picture now and your fancy phone cannot send an e-mail, then you can do it, but without copy and paste on the iPhone, this whole ordeal makes it difficult on many levels.

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that, since you've been here for a month or so, you knew where the search button was.

I dont NEED to send this picture but it would be nice. No my "fancy" phone will not e-mail but yours won't do MMS:p so there! just kiddin' round.

Thanks for your help though. I will draw pic on paper and send via paper airplane!

You could e-mail the pic to his e-mail directly. as I understand, instead of his phone number in the Send To: box, you put in the e-mail address, and that sends as a MMS to his e-mail.

If you're sending it to a 3g iPhone, nothing happens. The 3g's don't even send you the text requesting you visit the viewmymessage.com web site to view the photo. It's ridiculous.

Instead of putting a phone number in when you go to send the pic put the iPhone user's email address there it will send just like an MMS message you don't need to have email on your phone to do this. All my friends do it when sending me pix.

MMS is over-rated :)

Yeah. For God's sake, just go get your darn pictures developed at Walgreen's, write a cute little note on the back of one of them, and get your butt down to your local US post office and mail it! What's wrong with you people. :p
