Text Pics showing up as a black blank screen.

I usually save my text conversation and pics I have sent previously to some of my friends show up as a blank now and some have completely disappeared and I haven't even deleted them. Some of my pics still show up in other text conversations I have with other people, just recently though they started disappearing.


The problem is I wanted to save a few of these pics again to my camera roll but cannot because when I touch on the pic in the text message to enlarge it it just shows up as a black blank screen.


Is this a memory space issue or something? Is there any way to recover the pics?

A little bit more information would be much obliged:

iPhone model?
iOS version?
Jail-broken?

Have you tried hard-resetting the phone? Hold down the lock and home button until the screen goes blank and you see the Apple logo.

It is not jailbroken

Yes I've tried resseting it, nothing changed.


I've searched this forum and found this thread. This person has the exact same issue I'm having. He explained the problem he's having better than I did, I'm a bit tired so I had trouble describing the problem but it's exactly like this person stated in this thread.
