So I still have an iPad but have switched to a HTC phone. So I'm not using iMessage anymore. As such looked for an app tonight to text on my iPad and have cross platform access. I soon came across text plus and giving it a try. During the setup one has to register one's number with it. But upon sending a message, the message comes from a new number given to me from text plus.

I guess my question is, is there not a way to use one's existing number with the app?
