text scaling on dell p3421w monitor

trying to dial in the settings on a dell p3421w monitor hooked into an m2 14" macbook pro and having issues.

I have an LG 4k monitor hooked in an m1 air with no issues, I can see the text scaling options and everything, using a usb-c to displayport cable.

But on the dell p3421w monitor also using a usb-c to DP cable the 14" pro isnt giving me options to adjust text scrolling. Is this a dell issue? Any way to fix, or any programs I can run to fix it?

Google says that display has a USB-C input. If true, connect using that and see what happens.
What options is it giving you? It should give you some resolution options (won't be many since the display's max resolution seems to be 3440x1400).
Can you attach a screenshot of what macOS is offering insofar as display settings?
