I like the speed of the other browsers I've tried (Firefox (2.0.0.2), Camino and Opera). However, in all of them I am noticing text spacing issues; the text will be squished in one word, or extra spaced in another. It is particularly evident in Google search results. I have not seen much about this issue from others, here or otherwise, which makes me wonder if it's just me? Is there a setting or something that I can change to resolve this? It doesn't happen in Safari, but does happen in all three of the others.
Any ideas?

u can post some screen shot to show the problem u have, AFAIC, I don't have any problem like you said.

I think you are talking about some eastern languages, like Chinese, Japanese...I have exactly the same problem and found no solution so far...have to stay with Safari.

I have it too !!!

Really annoying...I've actually stopped using firefox as my main browser because of this.

I asked for help @ the mozilla Firefox IRC, but all advice I got was this:

The problem is occurring because of multiple fonts in different locations on your machine. That being said the fix is really easy.

Open Font Book : Application -> Font Book

Under Collections: All Fonts

Under Fonts: All the fonts that have duplicate locations have a small asterisk next to it. Select all of these fonts.

In the Menu Bar under Edit select Resolve Duplicates.

Then restart Firefox and your problems are fixed.

If that doesn’t work you may need to actually delete the duplicates from the font book. Really you just need to remove the duplicates in the main font families used by web pages.

Arial, courier, courier new, times new roman, and veranda.

It’s a little more labor intensive, but select the duplicates under each family and press delete, that should do it. easy as that.

It did actually work, but only for a day or 2 and than it suddenly returned :(
