Text substitutions not syncing

Recently, in a FAILED attempt to get push notifications for Facebook working on my phone, i resorted to resetting all settings. One of the many things this reset was text substitutions, and no matter what I do, i cannot seem to find a setting anywhere to get them back up and running (i.e. sync'd from my Mac). PLEASE HELP!
