The first issue I'm having is the speed. If it's set to 1.0, it seems to be just fine, but if you up the speech speed to 1.25, all of a sudden it's going at about 1.75-2.0. 1.25 and 1.5 speed don't seem to exist anymore, regardless of what it says.

The second issue is with the setting for how the speech selection window is displayed. In the preferences where the option for "Show controller" is, you have the options of Automatically, Never and Always.

"Never" is pretty obvious and will just not show the window when you have the speech playing.

"Always" is also pretty obvious and will just keep the window up no matter if you are playing speech or not. If you close it, it will open back up in a few seconds.

"Automatically" is where it seems to have changed. Previously, it would open when you started any text-to-speech and then it would stay open until you decided to close it manually. Now, it will open when you start it, but instead decides to automatically close right away upon completion. Including if you just hit "stop", it will close. The previous version was, for me, the only option that I ever used.
