Hi MacRumors,
I am using Apple's word processing application Pages. I am using the most current version 5.1 on Mavericks and I can't use text to speech on it any longer.
I tried to use text to speech on a Pages document I am working on at the moment, and the only option it gives me is to create an audio file for iTunes. I don't want to do this, I want to listen to text to speech instantly. I also tried using the text to speech short cut on Pages, and it no longer does anything.
I checked the feature on other applications, including Safari and they seem to still have the feature in place. I even went to the system preferences and text to speech is turned on. It just seems that Pages will not allow me to use text to speech instantly.
Why can I not use it as I did before? I don't want to create an audio file, I want to listen to text to speech instantly.
