text with external display

Hey there,

I plugged my macbook pro with my samsung 20' 1680 x 1050 and the text is ugly now. I am not sure what is wrong, but it feels like some letters are missing black and it's not smooth at all...it's kind of annoying and weird...It doesn't look like that when I look at my macbook pro screen...

any help?
