For some reason a little after I had downgraded to an older version of Safari, my TextEdit started acting a bit funky. When I tried to close a file, it had a thing that went around the file as if it was trying to load something. But no matter what, even when I force quit it, it wouldn't quite close. Now when I click BOTH TextEdit and Preview, all they do is bounce. I have no idea what's going on now @.@ Now all of a sudden my Mac decides to have problems. So now I can't open any picture, PDFS nor things for TextEdit. Is there a way to uh...get rid of this problem?

You downloaded Safari? You generally cannot easily do that, and perhaps if you went that route, its causing issues with the system.

Try downloading a combo update from apple update from apple to see if that fixes it, though you'll probably see safari get bumped up as well
