TextEdit on Lion / Snow Leopard

I've had every OS since 9.1. I was really excited about Lion. I want to like it, but I don't Every other OS X I've seen as an improvement, I don't with Lion.

I do however love the new TextEdit. It's almost perfect (Just wish it would open with my zoom preference in place rather than 100%, then it would be perfect)

I know this is a longshot:

If I downgrade back to Snow Leopard, is there a way to take the new TextEdit with me?
