Hi friends,

So i'm trying to make the switch from the heavy-RAM-user MSWord to TextEdit , mainly for writing papers. My only issue with TextEdit right now is that it seems to start documents right in corner of the screen. I like how in MSWord, you start typing kind of in the middle - it creates reasonable margins for you (Like in the attached screenshot - a document that i made in MSWord and opened in textedit). How can I achieve this in textedit?

Thanks so much!

Command+Shift+W

or Wrap to window from the Format Menu, I think you can set that as the default in Preferences too.

what about zooming, is there a way to change that? Like in MSWord, I can set it to 50%, 100%, 150%... is there a way?

thanks!

EDIT: Also, page numbers? I see how it's possible to print with page numbers, is it doable to put it right in the document?

any ideas? mpw? I'd really like to keep using TextEdit, and i'd love to know how to zoom and use page numbers
