So, I downloaded this. Said yes to allow it to push. Didn't set up email notification. It's all working perfectly.

I tell the husband to download it. I wasn't here when he did it. He said no to push, because he didn't know what that meant, and then activated an email on it that he never checks.

So, when I text him, he doesn't know it unless he happens to open it.

We tried him deleting it/reinstalling it...didn't work, did it just like he'd always had it.

Grr. Defeats the purpose. We both get charged when we text each other, so I really wanted something where we could text each other, and use our regular 200 texts to friends and...grr.

So, if anyone has any idea I'd appreciate it.

Settings menu, there should be Notifications. Turn it on, and then turn on the type of notification you want to see (badge, message, sound)

Where's settings? I'm wondering if that is only in the full version.

When I am in Textfree lite the options at the top are the refresh button, options, and then the write a text. Options only shows Name, Textfree network on/off and email notifications on/off...

Maybe I'll just pay for him to have the full version and hope it has settings and that it doesn't go away (read here that there is always a chance at&t will throw a fit and get it deleted?).

:hangs head: I'm really new to this. As in last Friday new. I appreciate it and will try to not ask stupid questions too often. (Gesh, and I thought the husband was stupid for not knowing what push was).

thanks a lot. I'm going to go hide now :)

It just did in mine. Do you have 3.0?

Settings, then click notifications then it will show under there.

Yeah, it shows there. I thought he meant under settings and down in the application settings area (where you'll find Tweetie and ColorSplash and others like that).

Ah, I see those things too. Geesh, I should pay attention to things like settings. Being playing too much Peggle.
