Does anybody know of an iphone texting app, where the app will not add on extra signature text to the outgoing text going to a cell phone? I'm trying to avoid paying more for sms than I have to, so finding an app that just simply lets you text is key. This is massively annoying for the person recieving texts from my iphone. I've tried both the Textfree Lite and AIM apps. Both do similar things

For example, if I send the text "hello there" to a friend using AIM, this is what they get on their phone:

AIM user "myusername" sent you a msg. Reply 'a' to accept or 'd' to decline all msgs from this user. 'on alllow all users 'stop' stop all users 'h' help

Then the friend has to reply with 'a'. Then they get:

"username":(using AOL IM)
"hello there"
(you can reply to this message)

So much chatter for no reason! Is there an app that doesn't do this? Even a paid texting app?

You could try TextFree Lite/Unlimited

Don't message their phone using AIM?

There's nothing that can change this on your end.... so I don't get what the issue is, really? It's their phone that's displaying this, because they're not on an actual AIM client....

The above solution that celtic gives is good.
